The
Joan C. Sergent Instructional Resource Center, in partnership with business/industry
and academic and cultural centers, will facilitate and expand learning opportunities
for all students. Students will experience 21st Century learning, rich in the
newest technologies, through the use of best practices that augment their daily
instruction, leading to increased student achievement.
One
goal of the IRC is to be a resource for teachers as they provide unique student
activities that "expand their learning without regard to the confines of
concrete and steel." Residing on these pages are resources that enable teachers
to plan learning opportunities that will prepare students for their futures. Teachers
are able to search databases
to find appropriate videoconference programs, select
learning activities other classes have completed, or
search the Utica Learning Interchange for lesson plans created for implementation
at the IRC.
